3.33

疏「然此二無礙」下，會融也。於中二：初辯定其相、二正明會融。前中有二對：行布圓融，以教對理、以相對性；下正圓融，但融相性。初對，謂約能詮教道，則行布不同；約所詮之理，則圓融無礙。第二對，就所詮中，約相則深淺不同，約性則融通無二。言「德用」者，即德相業用也。

Regarding the commentary's "Yet these two are unobstructed" onward: this is integration and interfusion. Within this there are two parts: first, defining their characteristics; second, directly explaining their integration and interfusion. In the former there are two pairs: gradual progression and perfect interfusion, contrasting teaching with principle, and contrasting characteristics with nature; below, in the primary perfect interfusion, it merely fuses characteristics and nature. In the first pair, in terms of the teaching that expresses, the gradual progression differs; in terms of the principle that is expressed, perfect interfusion is unobstructed. In the second pair, within that which is expressed, in terms of characteristics there are differences of deep and shallow, while in terms of nature there is interfusion without duality. The phrase "virtuous functions" refers to virtuous characteristics and karmic functions.
