3.56

疏「若依此時」下，三顯勝能。於中又三：初揀他顯勝、次「而餘教」下會他顯勝故、「或說」下再通妨難。難云：彼有三七六七等殊，云何不出於此？故今通云：皆是此經之時，隨見聞故。

Regarding the Commentary's statement from "If based on this time" downwards: the third [part] reveals superior efficacy. Within this, there are again three parts: first, distinguishing from others to reveal supremacy; next, from "while the other teachings" downwards harmonizes with others to reveal supremacy; and from "Or it is said" downwards resolves objections once more. The objection says: Those have differences such as three [periods of] seven [days] or six [periods of] seven [days]; why do they not go beyond this? Therefore, it now resolves: They are all the time of this sūtra, because [they vary] according to what is seen and heard.
