34.60

疏「是故事則不待壞而恒真」等者，成上二句。此成前句，以事全攬理，非色滅空，色性自空故。下句成下理徹事表，故不待隱而恒俗也。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Therefore, phenomena do not wait to be destroyed to be constantly true" and so on, this establishes the preceding two lines. This establishes the earlier line: because phenomena wholly gather principle, it is not that forms are destroyed to become void, but rather form-nature is itself void. The subsequent line establishes the lower "principle penetrating to the surface of phenomena"; hence, it does not wait to be concealed to be constantly conventional.
