疏「言種種梵音者即八種梵音」等者，文中具列初二，疏釋後六但標。若釋應云：三調和，謂大小得中。四柔軟者，言無麁獷。五不誤者，言無錯誤。六不女者，其聲雄朗。七尊慧者，言無戰懼。八深遠者，臍輪發聲。

On the commentary's "Speaking of various brahma-sounds refers to the eight kinds of brahma-sounds..." and so forth: The text fully lists the first two; the commentary's explanation merely notes the latter six. If explained, one should say: 3. Harmonious, meaning moderate between large and small. 4. Gentle, meaning words without coarseness. 5. Inerrant, meaning words without error. 6. Not effeminate, meaning the voice is heroic and clear. 7. Venerable and wise, meaning words without trembling or fear. 8. Deep and far-reaching, meaning the voice issues from the naval center.
