35.74

疏「隨心說法應在後偈」者，以後偈說八萬法門是順正法教語故，應合云隨心為說。前偈種種梵音故，是隨世儀軌，合言隨世所宜而化誘。

On the commentary's "Preaching the Dharma according to their minds should be in the latter verse": Because the latter verse speaks of the eighty thousand Dharma-gates, which are words of teaching in accordance with the true Dharma, it should properly be said to preach according to their minds. Since the former verse speaks of various brahma-sounds, which are conventions according with the world, it should properly be said to transform and guide according to what is appropriate for the world.
