36.38

疏「為顯十住功德妙高」下，第三總結釋也。於中三：初正結釋。次「四王處半」下，通伏難。謂有難言：若以妙高為表四王亦處妙高，復為次第何不處此？故為此通。後「善財童子」下，引例為證。

Below the Commentary's "In order to reveal that the merits of the ten abodes are wondrous and high", this is the third part, concluding the explanation. Within this, there are three points: first, directly concluding the explanation. Next, from "the Four Heavenly Kings dwell halfway up" downward, resolving an implicit objection. That is, an objection says: "If Wondrous-High represents [the abodes], the Four Heavenly Kings also dwell on Wondrous-High; as a sequential order, why do they not dwell here?" Hence this resolution is provided. Later, from "the youth Sudhana" downward, citing precedents as proof.
