36.53

疏從「若謂雙非」下，正釋第三偈。以上來疏重舉前文生此偈故，故此正釋。於中，初舉所破、次「故辨起心皆妄」下以偈正破。「起心皆妄，絕念方真」，釋其上半。「念本自無，斯絕亦滅」，釋其下半，以性空無念亦不可思故。

From the Commentary's "If one asserts a double negation..." onward, it directly explains the third verse. Because the Commentary above reiterated the preceding text to generate this verse, it therefore directly explains it here. Therein, it first presents what is refuted; next, from "Hence distinguishing that arising thoughts are all false" onward, it directly refutes it with the verse. "Arising thoughts are all false; only terminating thought is real" explains its first half. "Thought fundamentally does not exist; this termination is also extinguished" explains its second half, because nature-emptiness is thoughtless and also inconceivable.
