38.46

疏「雖許有佛不遍三世」等者，疏中先併出三世無；後「俱有可知」者，即併舉三世有。既言不遍三世，則諸計不同，或言過現有、未來無，或言過現無、未來有等，故云「不遍」。

Regarding the commentary's: "Although allowing that there are Buddhas, they do not pervade the three periods of time," and so forth, in the commentary it first sets forth together the non-existence in the three periods of time; later, "that both exist can be understood" sets forth together the existence in the three periods of time. Since it says "do not pervade the three periods of time," the various assertions differ: some say past and present exist while future does not, or past and present do not exist while future exists, and so forth; hence it says "do not pervade."
