39.33

疏「尚非是有」者，第三遮難。難云：若爾，應無如來，便墮斷見。故今遮云：邪見有二，謂有為淺、謂無為深。破汝淺邪，何墮深壑？皆《中論》文，並如上引。

Regarding the commentary's "It is not even existent": this is the third part, warding off objections. The objection states: If so, there should be no Tathāgata, which then falls into nihilism. Hence it now wards this off, stating: False views are of two kinds: asserting existence is shallow, asserting non-existence is deep. In refuting your shallow error, why must you plunge into a deep chasm? These are all passages from the *Madhyamakaśāstra*, cited as above.
