43.15

疏「祇陀末利唯酒唯戒」者，末利夫人為救厨子，飲酒塗飾等。祇陀太子為順國人，亦和光飲酒而不忘戒。並如別說。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Jeta and Mallikā: only wine, yet only precepts": Lady Mallikā, in order to save the cook, drank wine and adorned herself, and so on. Prince Jeta, in order to comply with the people of his country, also harmonized his light and drank wine, yet did not forget the precepts. Both are as explained elsewhere.
