疏「大地為鼓」等者，《如幻三昧經》云「假使以大地為鼓，須彌為搥，於須菩提耳邊打，不能生微念心亂。何以故？入空定故。」

Regarding the commentary's phrase “Taking the great earth as a drum” and so forth: the *Māyopama-samādhi-sūtra* states: “Even if one were to take the great earth as a drum and Sumeru as the drumstick, striking it beside Subhūti's ear, it could not produce a subtle thought of mental disturbance. Why is this? Because he has entered the concentration on emptiness.”
