疏「即難行禪」者，難行，《瑜伽》有三，〈明法〉已引，今重取意出之。謂住深靜慮，捨而利生，生於欲界為一；依止靜慮，發無量菩薩二乘境界等持為二；依此速證無上菩提為三。今文正當第三。

Regarding the commentary's phrase “Namely, difficult-to-practice dhyāna”: as for difficult practice, the *Yogācārabhūmi* has three kinds, already cited in the [chapter on] “Clarifying Dharmas,” and now their essential meaning is brought out again. Namely, abiding in deep dhyāna, relinquishing it to benefit beings, being born in the desire realm is the first; relying on dhyāna to produce the limitless samādhis of the bodhisattva and two-vehicle realms is the second; relying on this to swiftly realize anuttarabodhi is the third. The present text corresponds precisely to the third.
