44.6

疏「謂證法毘尼」等者，又此證者亦了知義，故梵本具云蘇鉢唎味底多達磨毘柰耶。釋曰：蘇者，善也。鉢唎味底多，了知也。而譯人揀異上果果，但了知理諦證故。又約其四法但言是理，對上菩提即是涅槃。涅槃即是性淨之理，證即已為圓淨涅槃故。

Regarding the commentary's statement, "Refers to realizing Dharma-vinaya," and so forth: furthermore, this "realizing" also carries the meaning of "thoroughly knowing." Therefore, the Sanskrit text fully reads supari-vidita-dharma-vinaya. The explanation is: su means "well"; parividita means "thoroughly known." The translators distinguish it from the realization of the ultimate fruit above, taking it merely as thoroughly knowing the truth of principle. Moreover, with regard to its four dharmas, it speaks only of principle; when contrasted with bodhi above, it is nirvāṇa. Nirvāṇa is the principle of original purity; "realization" refers to fully pure nirvāṇa.
