48.40

疏「俱空叵得」，即上云「有諍說生死，無諍說涅槃，生死及涅槃，二俱不可得。」此約性空，下約顯實。

Regarding the commentary's "Both are empty and unobtainable": this corresponds to the passage above saying, "Where there is dispute, saṃsāra is spoken of; where there is no dispute, nirvāṇa is spoken of. Saṃsāra and nirvāṇa—neither of the two can be obtained." This is in terms of nature-emptiness; below it is in terms of revealing the real.
