疏「眾勝」五科中，初文分三：一揀大異小、二揀尊異卑、三揀新異舊，並可知。

In the commentary's five headings on "Superiority of the Assembly," the first text is divided into three: 1. distinguishing the Mahāyāna to differentiate it from the Hīnayāna; 2. distinguishing the noble to differentiate them from the lowly; 3. distinguishing the new to differentiate them from the old; all of these can be understood.
