In the commentary's "Fifth, indicating the master of the Dharma," the text has three sections: The first explains the bodhisattva's expounding. From "Meaning that those of the same kind can do so...", the commentary explains. Below the commentary's "Bodhisattvas are numerous...", the second explains the meaning of vajra (diamond). The preceding sentence gives rise to the meaning; next, below "Why...", all is the treatise's text; later, below "This explanation...", the commentary explains the treatise, but only explains the meaning of sharp [utility], since the meaning of firmness is evident in the text. Below the commentary's "Next explaining the meaning of garbha (womb/treasury)...", the third explains garbha. Now, containing and subsuming is named a treasury, which was already generally explained before; here, vajra is taken to question garbha. From "The intent of this question..." below, the commentary explains the intent of the question. Next, below "And the treatise...", introduces the subsequent answer. Below "Garbha is named firm..." is the treatise's text. Below "Meaning just as a tree..." is the commentary's explanation. The phrase "named garbha in terms of that which can contain" means that vajra is itself the garbha, a karmadhāraya compound. From "Also like pregnancy..." below is the treatise's text. From "This means the embryo..." below is the commentary's explanation. That which is contained being named garbha is a bahuvrīhi compound. From "The treatise below extensively explains the combination..." below is the treatise's text. From "This single combination..." below, the commentary explains the treatise. Now, that which can contain is the stage cognition, and that which is contained is cause and fruition; both possess firmness and growth, and therefore can be comprehensively combined. The rest can be inferred through reflection.
