疏「論經」下，第二會論。「則光明即智」者，光明乃從喻得名，全喻智慧即雙含體用。言「同唯識第九四定」者，四定已見第六迴向，〈出現〉更廣。然論釋云「一大乘光明定，謂此能發照了大乘理教行果智光明故。」即知大乘之言通體用矣，即今大字。

Below the commentary's "The treatise and sūtra...", the second is harmonizing with the treatise. Regarding "Then radiance is cognition," radiance derives its name from metaphor; wholly metaphorizing wisdom, it encompasses both essence and function. Regarding "Identical to the four concentrations of the ninth [fascicle of the] Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi," the four concentrations have already appeared in the sixth pariṇāmanā, and the 'Manifestation Chapter' is even broader. However, the treatise's explanation states: '1. The Mahāyāna radiance concentration, meaning this can generate the cognitive radiance that illuminates the principles, teachings, practices, and fruitions of the Mahāyāna.' From this we know that the term Mahāyāna pervades essence and function; this is the character 'great' here.
