59.53

疏「謂發起」下，疏釋上論。於中有三：初正釋。二「然性戒有二」下，釋成上義。第二真如性戒，成前發起淨中順理持戒。第一久積成性，成前則令自體淨中性戒成就。三「今稱如」下，雙結上二義。

Regarding the commentary's phrase "This means initiating": below, the commentary explains the aforementioned treatise. Herein there are three parts: first, the direct explanation; second, from "However, innate morality has two aspects" downward, it explains and establishes the preceding meaning. The second aspect, the innate morality of tathatā, establishes the previous upholding of precepts in accord with principle within the purification of initiation. The first aspect, long accumulation becoming innate nature, establishes the previous perfection of innate morality within making the self-nature pure. Third, from "Now conforming to tathatā" downward, it jointly concludes the two preceding meanings.
