60.4

疏「以順理益物正反惡故」者，明善是能治，故《纓絡》云「順理生心名善，乖背為惡。」又益物為善，損物為惡，故云正反惡故。

Regarding the commentary’s [statement], “Because it accords with principle and benefits beings, directly opposing evil,” this clarifies that the wholesome is the remedying agent. Hence the Yingluo [jing] says: “Arousing a mind that accords with principle is called wholesome; violating [it] is evil.” Furthermore, benefiting beings is wholesome, and harming beings is evil; thus it says: “directly opposing evil.”
