疏「第二四空」下，釋此分四：一義門料揀、二釋文、三指廣、四觀行。四中，初一彰差別、二釋別名、三例科為四、四顯支別。今初，即前所引四蘊離下地，離下地言是顯差別。

Regarding the commentary's "Second, the four formless [attainments]" downward: explaining this is divided into four: 1. Analytical discussion of principles; 2. Explaining the text; 3. Referring to wider expositions; 4. Contemplative practice. Among the four: first, revealing differences; second, explaining distinct names; third, categorizing into four by analogy; fourth, clarifying branch distinctions. Now, the first: namely, what was previously cited regarding the four aggregates leaving the lower stage; the phrase 'leaving the lower stage' reveals the difference.
