疏「若於色界頓修空定」下，約頓證以明。言「意緣一切法亦無揀故」者，前明意識之中唯取緣色之想，故今辨之通緣一切，論主但云「滅意識和合」故，意識分別一切法故，說別異想曾不揀言，唯取意中之色想耳。故知通也。

Under the Commentary's "If one suddenly cultivates the absorption of space in the form realm," it is clarified in terms of sudden realization. As for saying "mental consciousness takes all dharmas as object without exclusion," previously it was explained that within mental consciousness one only takes the notion that cognizes form; therefore now it is distinguished that it universally takes all as object. The treatise master only said "extinguishing the conjunction of mental consciousness"; because mental consciousness discriminates all dharmas, speaking of distinct notions never excluded anything by saying it only takes the notions of form within the mind. Hence we know it is universal.
