疏「一增長因行」者，福能生智，故名為因。「二依止因行」，依慧生福，名依止因。

Regarding the commentary's: "First, the causal practice of increase": Merit can give rise to wisdom, and therefore is called a cause. "Second, the causal practice of dependence": relying on wisdom to produce merit is called the causal dependence.
