疏「又論與經有不次」下，意揀古人。今疏以論就經之次，古人依論次第異經。《刊定記》中全寫《探玄》，亦不對會二經之殊，況辨論釋與經之異。恐尋論者，及見古疏怪其不同，故結示耳。

Regarding the commentary from "moreover, the treatise and the sūtra have discrepancies in sequence" onward: the intention is to distinguish from earlier masters. The present commentary conforms the treatise to the sequence of the sūtra, whereas earlier masters followed the sequence of the treatise which differed from the sūtra. In the Kandìng jì, it completely copies the Tanxuan [ji] without reconciling the differences between the two sūtras, much less distinguishing the variations between the treatise's explanation and the sūtra. Fearing that those studying the treatise or seeing older commentaries might wonder at their differences, this conclusion is given to point it out.
