Regarding the Commentary's "Below, it specifically explains…" down: second, it specifically opens up the two inversions. The former purport is that due to being deluded about the nature of conditions, it is delusion without self. Grasping at a self, it is therefore inversion. From "Because of attachment to self" down, the treatise cites the intention of the sūtra to clarify the reason for inversion. The second purport clarifies that being deluded about dependent origination and not knowing that [things] arising from conditions lack reality is precisely delusion. Hesitating in doubt and being undecided is precisely inversion. From "Because it means lacking cognition" down, it uses the sūtra to explain and establish it. Lacking cognition and seeking existence explains and establishes delusion. From "Stagnating in annihilation and permanence" down, it explains and establishes doubt. "Leading to the continuity of the characteristics of conditions" explains the meaning of doubt being inversion.
