66.36

疏「一性即冥性」下，二別釋四因。初性因中，先正釋；後「前云」下，對一心門揀濫。所以揀者，由此冥性是其外理。今云「行非」者，取其能知得解脫，故名為行耳。僧伽之計，廣如玄中。

On the commentary’s “First, prakṛti, that is, the primal nature…” below: second, distinct explanation of the four causes. In the first, the cause of nature: first, a correct explanation; later, under “Previously it said…”, eliminating confusion in comparison to the one mind gate. The reason for eliminating confusion is that this primal nature is an external principle. Now when it says “action is not,” it refers to that which can know and attain liberation, and hence it is called action. The tenets of the Sāṃkhya are explained in detail in the Xuan[tan].
