疏「若唯不離」下，第二反釋。太即則無明即行，不得言無明與行為緣。太離則無明不干於行，何殊色於行耶？

Regarding the commentary from "If only non-separation" downwards: this is the second part, the indirect explanation by reductio. If it were excessively identical, then avidyā would just be saṃskāras, and one could not say that avidyā serves as a condition for saṃskāras. If it were excessively separate, then avidyā would have no bearing on saṃskāras; how would it differ from form (rūpa) in relation to saṃskāras?
