Where the commentary says, 'then the projectors, projected, producers, and produced...' below, it concludes and indicates the original meaning. It means that the two projectors are admitted to include the producers, and within the producing tṛṣṇā and so forth there must be the projected five of the projectors that share in being what is produced. And as for saying 'they may mutually obtain,' it is because although three lifetimes are spoken of in the Mahāyāna, regarding the five fruitions, they encompass both seeds and actual manifestations: in terms of being seeds they are merely the projected, while in terms of actual manifestations they are precisely the produced. The unmoistened two are merely called the projectors, while the already-moistened two are called the producers. Tṛṣṇā and so forth that initiate karma are merely called projectors, while tṛṣṇā and so forth that have already moistened are called producers; hence 'they may all mutually obtain.'
