68.38

疏「二即財及身勝因事」者，成勝報也。下句是身財，得上句故身財俱勝；上句得下句，故不滯寂。一同初句。「勝財則隨物」下，辨二勝相。此二若勝，能集助道。

Regarding the Commentary's line, "Second, namely the matter of the cause for excellence in wealth and body": this accomplishes superior reward. The lower phrase is body and wealth; by obtaining the upper phrase, both body and wealth are superior. The upper phrase obtains the lower phrase, hence it does not stagnate in quiescence. It is identical to the first phrase. From "superior wealth then accords with objects" onward, it distinguishes the marks of the two excellences. If these two are superior, they can accumulate the aids to the path.
