68.64

疏「而云多」下，上明總超即是非染，此下明其細者未超即是非淨，由此生下雙非之義。故論先云「住是第七菩薩地，過多貪欲等諸煩惱眾者，未至報地故」，即云「是故此地不名離者。」明知躡前明雙非也。

Regarding the Commentary's line beginning 'Yet it says "many"': above, clarifying general transcendence means being non-defiled; below this, clarifying that subtle ones are not yet transcended means being non-pure. From this arises the subsequent meaning of the dual negation. Therefore, the Śāstra first states: 'Residing on this seventh bodhisattva ground, transcending the multitudes of defilements such as excessive desire, because one has not yet reached the ground of retribution'; and then immediately says: 'Therefore, this ground is not called detached.' Clearly, we know this builds upon the preceding to clarify the dual negation.
