疏「三拔四流」等者，即大慈救護、大悲度脫，合變濕令燥，四流是濕、出世是燥，定水是濕、菩提是燥，不沈定水故。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Third, uprooting the four floods," and so forth: this is great loving-kindness rescuing and protecting, and great compassion liberating, corresponding to changing wetness into dryness. The four floods are wetness and the supramundane is dryness; the water of concentration is wetness and bodhi is dryness, because one does not drown in the water of concentration.
