80.48

疏「是謂高而無上、廣不可極」者，顯高廣義。此及下「大包天地」等，皆是肇公《涅槃無名論．位體》中文。彼云「經言『菩提之道不可圖度，高而無上、廣不可極，淵而無下、深不可測，大包天地、細入無間。』」

On the Commentary's "This is called lofty without anything superior, vast beyond any limit": this reveals the meaning of loftiness and vastness. This and the subsequent "vastly encompassing heaven and earth," etc., are all passages from Master Zhao's Treatise on the Namelessness of Nirvāṇa, in the section on "Status and Essence." That text says: "The sūtra says: 'The way of bodhi cannot be measured: lofty without anything superior, vast beyond any limit, profound without any bottom, deep beyond fathomability, vastly encompassing heaven and earth, minutely entering into the gapless.'"
