（五十四經）疏「夫說法」下即《淨名》目連章中。「時目連於里巷中，為諸居士說法，時維摩詰來謂我言：『唯大目連！為白衣居士說法，不當如仁者所說。所以者何？夫說法者當如法說。法無眾生，離眾生垢故。法無有我，離我垢故』」等。「說法既權實」下，義取《淨名》之意。

(Fascicle 54 of the sūtra) The Commentary's passage from "One who preaches the Dharma" onward is from the Maudgalyāyana chapter of the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa: "At that time Maudgalyāyana was preaching the Dharma to householders in a lane, and Vimalakīrti came and said to me: 'O Great Maudgalyāyana! Preaching the Dharma to lay householders should not be as the Venerable One preaches it. Why is that? One who preaches the Dharma should preach it in accordance with the Dharma. The Dharma is free of sentient beings, because it is free from the defilement of sentient beings. The Dharma has no self, because it is free from the defilement of a self,'" and so forth. From "Since preaching the Dharma [includes] both provisional and real" onward, the meaning is drawn from the intention of the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa.
