89.10

疏「八婆」，上聲字，別譯及《般若》皆為「麼」字。與蒲我切義大同。文中，先釋義；後「方入金剛場」者，會經。如佛入金剛三昧，斷如金剛。惑在金剛場，則無縛解，為真斷也。《智論》云「若聞婆字，即知一切法無縛脫，以婆他此言縛故。」

Regarding the commentary's "Eight: ba", a rising-tone syllable: in both the alternate translation and the Prajñā[pāramitā] it is the syllable ma. Its meaning is largely identical to the fanqie pronunciation bu + wo. In the text, it first explains the meaning; afterwards, "only then does one enter the vajra-seat" reconciles it with the sūtra. It is like the Buddha entering the vajra-samādhi, severing like a vajra. Affliction being in the vajra-seat, there is neither bondage nor liberation, which is true severance. The Dazhidulun says: "Hearing the syllable ba, one immediately knows that all phenomena are free from bondage and liberation, because here bandha means bondage."
