89.24

疏二十二「拕字」，別譯為「馱」字。義必然者，以第七亦有「拕」字，注云「為上」故。然經云「揀擇法聚」，即能持界性。法聚差別，即是界義，各各持自性也。《智論》云「若聞馱字，知一切法性不可得，以馱摩此云法故。」

In the commentary on the twenty-second [syllable], 'da' (拕), another translation has the syllable 'dha' (馱). That the meaning must be this is because the seventh also has the syllable 'da' (拕), with the note saying 'as above'. Now, the sūtra speaks of 'selecting aggregates of phenomena', which is the ability to maintain the realm-nature (dhātusvabhāva). The distinctions among the aggregates of phenomena are precisely the meaning of 'realm' (dhātu), each maintaining its own nature. The Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states: 'If one hears the syllable dha, one knows that the nature of all phenomena (dharma) is ungraspable, because dharma here means phenomenon (dharma).'
