89.25

疏二十三「奢（尸苛切）字」。別譯為「捨」，《大般若》云「捨」，《涅槃》云「奢」。若會經者，寂靜則順佛教。《智論》云「若聞賒字，即知諸佛寂滅相，以賒多（都餓切）此云寂滅故。」

In the commentary on the twenty-third [syllable], 'śa' (奢, pronounced shī-kē). Another translation has 'śa' (捨); the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra says 'śa' (捨), and the Nirvāṇa-sūtra says 'śa' (奢). If correlated with the sūtra, quiescence accords with the Buddha's teaching. The Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states: 'If one hears the syllable śa (賒), one immediately knows the quiescent aspect of all buddhas, because śānta (賒多, pronounced dū-è) here means quiescence.'
