On the commentary’s "Briefly there are ten kinds, namely mastery of lifespan and so forth": this is at the end of fascicle fifty-five, which says, "Disciples of the Buddha! Bodhisattva-mahāsattvas possess ten masteries. What are the ten? Namely, mastery of lifespan, because of dwelling in lifespan for ineffable kalpas; mastery of mind, because wisdom is able to enter asaṃkhyeya samādhis; mastery of requisites, because of being able to adorn all worlds with immeasurable adornments; mastery of karma, because of experiencing retribution at will; mastery of rebirth, because of manifesting rebirth in all worlds; mastery of understanding, because of seeing Buddhas filling all worlds; mastery of vows, because of achieving equal and perfect enlightenment in lands according to desire and time; mastery of divine powers, because of manifesting all great miraculous transformations; mastery of dharmas, because of manifesting boundless Dharma gates; mastery of cognition, because in thought-moment after thought-moment one manifests the Tathāgata’s ten powers, fearlessnesses, and attainment of correct enlightenment. These are the ten. If bodhisattvas dwell securely in these dharmas, they will completely fulfill all pāramitās of all Buddhas, with wisdom, divine powers, and mastery of bodhi."
