Regarding the Commentary's phrase "extending across the ten directions" and so on: the various kinds of all buddhas refers to extending across the ten directions. Past, present, and future are the three times. Bodhisattvas are the cause; buddhas are the fruit. The above two are both persons; the Dharma wheel is the Dharma. Being suddenly complete is deep; horizontally covering all is broad. The marks and secondary signs are the essence; producing and giving rise are functions. All being completely harmonious and integrated is called boundless mastery, meaning the horizontal is precisely the vertical, persons are precisely the Dharma, and so on.
