Regarding the Commentary from "There is no suffering and no origin" onward, this is the third [section], subsuming them into a single truth. The meaning of the single real truth is also the text of fascicle thirteen of the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra]: "Mañjuśrī asked the Buddha: 'World-Honoured One, is there conventional truth within the ultimate truth? Is there ultimate truth within conventional truth? If they exist, then there is a single truth; if they do not exist, would this not mean that the Tathāgata speaks falsely?' [The Buddha replied:] 'Good son, conventional truth is immediately the ultimate truth.' 'World-Honoured One, if so, then there are no two truths.' 'Good son, there are skillful means (upāya) that, in accord with sentient beings, speak of two truths,'" and so forth; all of these are the meaning of the single truth. Below, Mañjuśrī also asks: "As for what is called the 'real truth,' what is its meaning?" He replied: "The real truth is named the true Dharma. If a dharma is not true, it is not named the real truth. It is also called the non-inverted. Again, being free from falsehood is named the Great Vehicle. It is what the Buddha preached, not what Māra preached." He also said: "Good son, as for the real truth, it is the purity of the single path, without duality. Good son, having permanence, bliss, self, and purity—this is named the meaning of the real truth."
