Regarding the Commentary's 'How much more so with the boundless exposition...' and so on: second, approaching the virtues to reveal consummate completeness. The boundless exposition vertically concerns a long duration; thus the *Zhigui* says, 'The constant and eternal exposition is boundless through past and future.' 'The consummate interpenetration of thought-moments and kalpas' means that a single thought-moment is inexhaustible; a single thought-moment is immeasurable kalpas, immeasurable kalpas are a single thought-moment, and so forth; hence it is said thus. When a thought-moment is multiple kalpas, how could the duration of time be fixed?
