九常隨佛眾別者，說《維摩經》時，聲聞為常隨佛眾，但具五百。說《華嚴經》時，總是一乘大菩薩眾為常隨佛眾，具十佛剎微塵數大眾總是具普賢文殊體用等眾。

Ninth, the difference in the assemblies constantly accompanying the Buddha: When the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa Sūtra was expounded, the śrāvakas were the assembly constantly accompanying the Buddha, numbering only five hundred. When the Avataṃsaka Sūtra was expounded, the assembly constantly accompanying the Buddha was entirely great bodhisattvas of the One Vehicle, numbering as many great assemblies as the particles of dust in ten Buddha-realms, all being assemblies endowed with the essence and function of Samantabhadra and Mañjuśrī.
