問曰：何故前信位之中十首菩薩不入三昧即便說法，又無同名覺首佛而稱歎？何故此十住位中法慧菩薩入三昧始說法，又千佛世界微塵數佛與法慧同名皆號之為法慧，來慰歎？何故前十信無此等相者，何為也？

Question: Why is it that in the preceding stage of faith, the ten -prabha bodhisattvas explained the Dharma straightaway without entering samādhi, and moreover there was no buddha of the same name Jñānaprabha who praised them; whereas in this stage of the ten abodes, Bodhisattva Dharmamati explained the Dharma only after entering samādhi, and moreover buddhas as numerous as the dust motes in a thousand buddha-worlds, having the same name as Dharmamati, were all called Dharmamati and came to comfort and praise him? Why were there no such marks in the preceding ten faiths? What is the reason for this?
