6.66

第六《涅槃經》所指淨土者，云如來有實報淨土，在西方過三十二恒河沙佛土外者，為三乘權教一分染淨未亡者言。此三千大千世界總是穢土，權推如來報境淨土在西方。此權非實。

Regarding the sixth, the pure land pointed to in the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra: it says that the Tathāgata has a true reward pure land located in the west past buddha-lands as numerous as the sands of thirty-two Ganges Rivers. This is spoken for those of the provisional teaching of the three vehicles who have not yet eliminated [the duality of] defilement and purity, saying that this great trichiliocosm is entirely an impure land, and provisionally positing the Tathāgata's reward realm pure land in the west. This is provisional and not ultimate.
