6.68

第八靈山會所指淨土者，此引三乘中權教菩薩染淨未亡者，令知此土即穢恒淨。諸眾信可，未能自見，是實非權，信而未見。

Regarding the eighth, the pure land pointed to at the Vulture Peak assembly: this guides provisional-teaching bodhisattvas within the three vehicles who have not yet eliminated [the duality of] defilement and purity, enabling them to know that this land, while seemingly impure, is constantly pure. The multitude trusted in it, but was not yet able to see it for themselves; it is ultimate and not provisional, trusted but not yet seen.
