一長科經意者，略作十段千科：一明始成正覺、二明舉果勸修、三明以果成信、四明入真實證、五明發行修行、六明智悲相入、七明蘊修成德、八明利生無礙、九明諸賢寄位、十明令凡實證。

First, regarding broadly dividing the outline of the sutra's meaning, it is briefly divided into ten sections with a thousand subheadings: first, explaining the initial attainment of correct awakening; second, explaining presenting the fruit to encourage practice; third, explaining using the fruit to establish faith; fourth, explaining entering true realization; fifth, explaining generating practice and cultivating; sixth, explaining the mutual penetration of wisdom and compassion; seventh, explaining accumulating cultivation to accomplish virtue; eighth, explaining benefiting sentient beings without hindrance; ninth, explaining how the worthy ones are assigned to stages; tenth, explaining causing ordinary beings to attain actual realization.
