"First attained perfect awakening": the exhaustion of sentiments regarding ancient and modern is named "first"; the mind having nowhere to depend is named "perfect" (correct); the mutual correspondence of principle and wisdom is named "awakening"; attaining such a Dharma is named "attained." Furthermore, awakening oneself and awakening others is named "awakening." The above finishes explaining the section on severing doubt and generating faith among the eight phrases.
