Bodhisattvas take forbearance as a hanging garland,
Conscience and shame are ever the adornment of their robes,
The precepts are their paste incense and powdered incense,
Kindness and compassion universally covering them are their canopy,
The upright, unmoving mind is the banner of dhyāna,
The pennant of wisdom destroys all wrong views,
With expedient means they constantly abide in the ocean of saṃsāra,
Benefiting sentient beings as musical entertainment,
Dhāraṇīs proclaim and spread the wondrous Dharma sound,
Causing those who hear to be liberated as singing and music.
