6.3

First, 'identity of physical body': as the various bodhisattvas in the five stages each come from the ten directions, from each direction the arriving assembly consists of bodhisattvas numerous as the fine dust particles of ten buddha-lands; all have golden bodies and blue-black eyes and hair. The physical bodies of bodhisattvas of the respective stages are mutually alike, and the assemblies of devas and the eight classes of beings are mutually alike within their respective categories, making clear that because the Dharma attained is identical, their retributions are also identical. As in the first assembly, there are fifty-five categories; although they distinctively clarify that practice-entrances and conversions are diverse, yet their marks of practice, bodily forms, and Dharma-entrances across the fifty-five categories mutually interpenetrate: one practice constitutes many practices, many practices constitute one practice; one body constitutes many bodies, many bodies constitute one body, because they are alike. The ten locations and ten assemblies, earlier and later, are similarly so by analogy.
