Second, 'identity of the fundamental wisdom of the dharmakāya': the oceans of assemblies throughout the ten locations and ten assemblies all share the Tathāgata's dharmatā-kāya and fundamental wisdom. Even if newly learning ordinary persons were to enter the assembly, upon seeing and hearing the Buddha Dharma they would realize and enter in a single kṣaṇa, all being equal to the fundamental wisdom of the Tathāgata's dharmatā-kāya; thus none who enter the assembly and see and hear the Dharma fail to be identical with the Buddha's body and wisdom. When the five hundred arhats were physically present within the assembly, they neither saw nor heard, neither knew nor perceived this great assembly or the Dharma-entrances spoken. This is unlike the bodhisattvas of the provisional teachings, those of the Two Vehicles, humans, devas, and the eight classes, who meet the Buddha in the same assembly yet whose hearing of the Dharma and gaining of benefit are entirely disparate.
