Third, regarding the realm of the Buddha's gathering and transforming as seen by arhats within the two vehicles: a great arhat, through the power of the divine eye, is able to see the realm of a great trichiliocosm gathered and transformed by the Buddha. This is just as Aniruddha said: "With my divine eye, I see the great trichiliocosm of Śākyamuni Buddha's land as though looking at an āmalaka fruit in the palm of my hand." With lesser arhats it is variable; some see the Buddha gathering and transforming a single Jambudvīpa. This is because having long subdued [defilements] through the power of forbearance, they are able to sever the fetters; yet without the power of dhyāna-concentration, it is also termed severing the fetters, though they do not yet have the power of spiritual transformations and the like. Thus, taking such an arhat, some see the Buddha gathering and transforming the four continents and the realm of the three realms above. This is explained at length in the various treatises of the Śrāvakayāna.
