At that time Samantabhadra addressed the bodhisattvas: "As expounded just now, it is merely in accordance with the capacities of sentient beings, because sentient beings without wisdom calculate a self (broadly explaining the various hindrances)." Having clarified the various hindrances, next he clarified cultivating the ten dharmas, namely not abandoning sentient beings and so forth, thereby coming to possess the ten kinds of purity, namely purity of penetrating profound dharmas and so forth. Next they attain the ten kinds of vast wisdom, namely knowing the mental actions of all sentient beings and so forth. Next they attain the ten kinds of universal entry: hair-paths and all worlds, the bodies of all sentient beings and one body, ineffable kalpas and a single thought-moment, all buddha-dharmas and one dharma, ineffable places and one place, all sense-faculties and one sense-faculty, all sense-faculties and non-sense-faculties, all thoughts and one thought, all sounds and one sound, all three periods of time and one period of time, all mutually interpenetrating. Next are the ten kinds of supremely wonderful minds, and next they attain the ten kinds of skillful wisdoms, and so forth.
